The YMCA of the Suncoast and YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg are teaming up with Safe Kids Coalition to offer a week of free Water Safety Lessons. The program is endorsed by the Florida Department of Health.
Kids will receive a five day lesson program set around basic swimming survival skills, water safety skills and education about different water safety environments. Lessons will coincide with the Water Safety Lessons learned in schools.
This program is for children 5-10 years old and who are non-swimmers. In addition, parents that have children (ages 5-10) who are not that confident in the water are encouraged to attend Splash Week.
Parents can download this flyer and take it to one of the Y locations listed below in order to register for their Splash Week. Registration is limited so call and arrive early at one of the following YMCA branch Splash Week locations.
